This Privacy Policy describes how DropPages AI (the "App", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you install and use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect from Merchants

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

  • Shop Information: We collect your shop's domain (e.g., `your-shop.myshopify.com`), contact email, and phone number to manage your account and provide support.
  • Shopify API Access Tokens: We store the necessary API access tokens (OAuth tokens) to interact with your Shopify store's Admin API. This allows us to read product data and manage discounts created by our App.
  • Product Data: To provide our core service, we access your product information, including titles, descriptions, images, variants, prices, and tags. This data is used as input for our AI content generation features.
  • Configuration Data: We store settings you configure within the App, such as your Public Storefront API token, custom domain settings, tracking IDs (Meta Pixel, Google Analytics), and the content of your cookie consent banner.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App's services.
  • Generate page content using your Shopify product data as input for third-party AI models.
  • Communicate with you, provide customer support, and send you updates about the App.
  • Manage your subscription and billing.
  • Improve and personalize the App.
Merchant Responsibility for AI-Generated Content: The AI-generated content is provided as a powerful starting point. You, the Merchant, are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of all content before publishing it on your storefront. We are not liable for any inaccuracies or issues arising from AI-generated content.

3. Information Regarding End-Customers

We do not collect or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from your end-customers.

Our App is designed as a "pass-through" system. When a customer visits a page generated by DropPages AI, their interaction is directly with Shopify's infrastructure via the Hydrogen storefront. All checkout processes, order data, and customer information are handled and stored exclusively within your Shopify account. We do not have access to, nor do we store, any customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, or payment information.

4. Third-Party Sub-processors

We use third-party services to help us provide the App. These sub-processors may have access to some of your data as necessary to perform their functions, but they are contractually obligated to protect it.

  • AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google AI): Your product data (titles, descriptions) is sent to these services to generate page content. This data is processed according to their respective privacy policies and is not used to train their models.
  • Hosting Providers (e.g., Vercel): Our application and your configuration data are hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud infrastructure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your Shop Information and Configuration Data as long as the App is installed on your store. If you uninstall the App, we will delete your data from our active systems within 30 days, in accordance with Shopify's requirements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal information that we hold. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact us at the email address below. If you uninstall the App, we will automatically begin the process of deleting your data.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and, if applicable, through your Shopify admin dashboard.
